Built Up Roofing

Built-Up Roofing is composed of multiple layers of felts that are adhered together with either asphalt (hot or cold), coal tar, emulsion, or other adhesives.

Single Ply Roofing

Single ply roofing is composed of a single layer thermoplastic or thermo-set membrane which typically has heat welded seams. We can provide up to a 20 year warranty on material and installation on TPO roofs.

Modified Bitumen Roofing

Modified Bitumen Roofing is composed of multiple layers of APP or SBS composite rolled asphalt membrane. Modified Bitumen rolled membranes can be installed using hot asphalt, adhesive, self adhering backing or with heat which is torch applied. Cool roof coatings include Acrylic, Silicone, Hypalon, Butyl and Polyurea.

The popularity of reflective coatings and Green Roofs has grown as many municipalities now require high albedo coatings to reduce what is referred to as the urban heat island effect. Urban heat islands are caused by dark surfaces that absorb more heat from the sun combined with the lack of vegetation to provide shade. Temperatures in urban heat island areas can be 6-8 degrees hotter than surrounding areas and the higher temperatures can increase a buildings energy costs and raise pollution levels in the affected area.
